Jean De La Jovenc aka Giovanni Dal Monte is an Italian musician who started his business in 1984, collaborating with musicians of the Italian experimental avant-garde. In the late nineties he kicks off with his solo production, focusing initially on the composition of soundtracks and readjustments for cinema and television. He brought live in theaters and arenas two original compositions for the classic silent movie “Nosferatu” of Murnau in 1998 and “Lulù - The Pandora’s box” of Pabst in 2005. Numerous are his musical performances carried out for art exhibitions, photography, performances and reading (Il Cubo and L’archivolto galleries in Milan, Museo Zauli and Museo delle Esposizioni in Faenza). In 2005 he composed the music for the play “Last call” of Jader Giraldi, and in 2008 for the performance of contemporary ballet “Eros” of the Iris Dance Company. In 2006 he was prized with PAI (Italian Avant-garde Award) at the MEI (Meeting of Indipendent Labels), and in 2007 he won Live!iXem (Italian Experimental Electronic Music) in 2007. He played with Murcof, Kangding Ray, Scanner, Balustrade Ensemble, Gopher and many others, in festivals like Störung in Barcelona and Ixmae in San Francisco.
