King of Sweden is a Finnish progressive rock band, originally founded in Tampere in 2019. After recording their first album in late 2019 the band was signed to Golden Robot Records. Their debut album The Training was released in October 2021. King of Sweden went through line-up changes in 2022-2023. The power trio became a quartet as it was expanded with a keyboardist / rhythm guitarist. The band released a new single, War Rabbit, on 19th July 2024. Their next single, The Bay, was released on 27th September. Their second full-lenght album, 'Out of the Tunnel', was released on 15th November 2024 by Golden Robot Records. King of Sweden's music has been described as energetic and deeply rooted progressive rock with a fresh and modern nod. Influences of golden era prog bands, such as Camel, King Crimson, Yes, Genesis and Tasavallan Presidentti, can be clearly heard in the sound of King of Sweden, as well as psychedelic rock and hard rock influences.
