Karl Heinz Füssl (* 21 March 1924 in Gablonz, Czechoslovakia; † 4 September 1992 in Eisenstadt, Burgenland) was an Austrian composer and musicologist. Füssl went to Berlin to study and began his training with Konrad Friedrich Noetel (composition), Gerd Otto (piano) and Hugo Distler (choral conducting). After the Second World War he settled in Vienna and began his studies with Alfred Uhl (composition), Erwin Ratz (analysis), and Hans Swarowsky (conducting). Füssl also worked as a music critic and lecturer for Universal Edition. He was entrusted with the Urtext editions and was also involved in the publication of works by Haydn, Mozart and Johann Strauss. The International Gustav Mahler Society entrusted Füssl with the publication of the Gustav Mahler Complete Edition.
