Kali Mutsa is the musical project of chilean artist, actress and singer, Celine Reymond. It’s influenced by gypsies, magic, legends, latin folklore and oriental music. Kali Mutsa (meaning: black cat) is a character with a rich background story, she’s a lady born in the Valley of Pachacutí with centuries of age but who hasn’t age one day. She’s a princess, she’s a witch and she’s a goddess, but everything we need to know about her is told in her songs. Kali Mutsa has become one of the most interesting artists in Chile and Latin America because of her originality, her unique sound and innovative mysticism. She’s a referent of the new latin pop, but that box is too small to hold the power behind her music, powered by the rescue of the sounds from the Altiplano and latin folklore, the complex stories and languages inside her lyrics and also the aesthetic of a queen without precedents.
