Los Angeles, CA/ Las Vegas, NV, United States (2008 – present) Kacey Cash (one half of dream-pop/indie band "The Fox and The Sound") is an experimental solo project. The original intent of releasing solo material came when Cash began creating music that did not fit in with the rest of The Fox and The Sound's (usually referred to as TFATS) collection. Cash was a previous member of the Riverside, CA bands Bottleneck Blonde, Acrobat June and The Crystal Honeymoon. Her sound has been described as dreamy and ethereal, usually accompanied by two-step or broken electronic beats. Kacey has an unorthodox way of recording. Cash has admitted most songs are created the moment she is put in front of the microphone or mixer.
