KXOY (A punk oriented band from Bandung, Indonesia) was formed in the first month of 2005; absurdly enough, the tale of Ajay [vocals/guitarist], Obo [ex-drummer], and Joph [vocals/bassist] as online buddies created an alternative punk band. Thus, KXOY was born and began their very own journey by covering tunes from the MxPx. Early 2006 witnessed Hurley [who happens to be Ajay’s brother] joining the band; hence KXOY was at their fullest with a new guitarist. Still covering tunes from the Useless ID as they still found it hard to write their own materials. It was not too long before Obo left the band, unfortunately, due to is view of the band’s prospect. Obo resigned, and joined the Arabian Peanuts. The band consequently moved on without their drummer, leaving an empty space behind the drumset. Learning process is the best situation to stand upon when you put great effort into understanding the matter, and KXOY was tired of covering songs from other band. After all, the band soon figured out the best combination of songwriters between Joph and Ajay. As a lyricist, Joph has proven his capability in creating smart phrases based on the music that Ajay produced. KXOY was back on a better track with their stories of friends, families, and stupidities from a dramatic high school life, all wrapped in their tunes. With a little help from Iksan [a kid who used to be the additional drummer for Pee Wee Gaskins, and currently still playing with Failling Forward], KXOY filled the space
