Julien Wilson is an Australian saxophonist based in Melbourne. He has released over a dozen albums as leader or co-leader and has performed/recorded with artists including Kurt Elling, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Hugh Masekela, Nigel Kennedy, Paul Bley, Charlie Haden, Hermeto Pascoal, James Carter, Joss Stone, Mavis Staples, Jim Black, Mark Helias, Mike Nock, Meshell Ndegeocello, Paul Kelly, Archie Roach, Bob Moses & George Garzone. He has spent extended periods living and studying in Scotland, Switzerland and the US and toured throughout Europe, Asia and the US. His trio has been hailed as one of the most significant groups on the Australian Jazz Scene and have played sold out concerts at Berlin Jazz Festival and the Sydney Opera House. His playing and compositions are featured on many Award winning Australian Jazz and popular albums including albums by Stu Hunter, Vince Jones, Jonathan Zwartz, Jex Saarelaht, The Australian Art Orchestra, The Black Arm Band, Augie March & Thirsty Merc.
