Artist
Jori Sjöroos (born 1976) is a Finnish musician and producer from Turku, Finland. He became known for his projects with Fu-Tourist, This Empty Flow and Magenta Skycode. Sjöroos was the main composer and producer of PMMP's music. He produced PMMP under the artist name Think Ink. He is considered a typical producer: he is respected in the music circles, but the general public may not have a clear picture of what the person is about. In the early 1990s, Sjöroos was a drummer in the Thergothon band, one of the pioneers of the doom metal sub-genre funeral doom. Sjöroos produced the Blanco Spirituals album released in 2008 by Ismo Alanko and Teho Majamäki. He received the 2009 Teosto Award together with Mira Luoti and Paula Vesala for the PMMP album Veden varaan. In 2015, after the end of the career of PMMP and Magenta Skycode, Sjöroos has created a new project called ROOXX, which released their first song Breath In October 2015. In 2017, Sjöroos released his first song with his own name. "Animals" was added to the list of the best songs of the week by YleX. This is almost a straightforward continuation of Sjöroos' earlier ROOXX project. Both sing Ringa Manner and Markus Perttula. Currently Jori Sjöroos produces music for Vesta.
