Artist
Every once in a while, a brand new style of music comes around, and the pioneering artists are hailed as the masters of all that is music. John, Dan, and Ted is not that artist. However, they are still half-decent. John, Dan, and Ted is the world's first trombone rock band. Thats right, all they use is trombones. No guitars, no basses, and especially no woodwinds. They play covers of popular music as well as some of their own material. The story of John, Dan, and Ted's forming is shrouded in mystery. However, the most commonly recognized story is thus: John Mitchell and Dan Gautreau, two high-school buddies and trombonists initially formed a small duo act called John and Dan. After a month, Ted Aronson signed on as a third trombonist and added his name onto the end of John and Dan, forming John, Dan, and Ted. John, Dan, and Ted performed their first concert in an ad hoc "battle of the bands" where they won against the reigning champion, Nuggets of the North. With a new fan base, encompassing the entirety of the Norwood High School Wind Ensemble, John, Dan, and Ted set out to make trombone rock history.
