Signed to Sotones Joe Parker And The Power are a multi-member, multi-influenced, multi-located guitar-based rock group originally from Southampton, UK but now scattered across Europe. Their music veers from raw, Clash-powered garage rock to melodic, skewed Pavement-esque indie and gritty, plate-reverb-drenched barroom ballads. Formed in January 2007 to gig an EP recorded by Lonely Joe Parker the previous year, they toured extensively throughout spring and summer, including appearances with varied acts such as Voodoo Glow Skulls, SixNationState, Thomas Tantrum, SKULLS, Peter Lyons, Edward J. Hicks, Simon Breed and Starfighter-X to name but a few.
