Jeremy, or Jay, was born June 10th 1977 in Summerville, South Carolina right outside of Charleston. He sang his first solo at the age of 6 in his parents' large Baptist church. When his dad asked him if he was nervous, he responded "Why would I be nervous?." His father gave him the microphone and off he went to center stage. Since then, he's tried his hand at many things: painting, sculpture, skateboarding, surfing, but none captivated him like music. After high school, he moved to London where he attended school at S.A.E. in London for audio engineering, but spent most of his time working as 2nd engineer at a club down on Liverpool Street. Currently he lives in Atlanta, GA and his devoting all of his newfound energy diving head-first back into music. 2009 was a particularly hard year for Jeremy after being diagnosed with seminoma cancer. But, throughout his recovery in 2010, he has been planning his return to music and is hitting the ground running. His music style is somewhat of a smorgesboard of influences. On any given night, you are likely to hear songs from James Taylor, Allman brothers, Grateful Dead, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Violent Femmes, Santana, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and so many more tried and true artists. His knowledge of American roots music is quite extensive. Jeremy's original music is woven from bits and pieces of his vast mental jukebox but with a style that is clearly all his own. When Jeremy's around, you can plan on some toe-tappin' songs you can't help
