Jakuzi's Attempt is a three-piece Progressive Hardcore band who draw inspiration from improvised and electronic music. Jakuzi’s Attempt started out in September 2004. The self-release of the self-titled CD EP in March 2006 causes a lot of enthusiastic reactions in music related magazines and blogs. Several tours which led Jakuzi's Attempt all across Europe helped the band to build up a reputation of providing a unique live experience. So far they have shared the stages and floors with bands like The Locust, Melt-Banana, Zu, Aids Wolf, Unsane, Alec Empire, Otto von Schirach, Knut, MoHa!, Get Hustle, Fuckhead, Trencher and Black Heart Rebellion. Jakuzi’s Attempt are currently recording new songs. Their new EP will be released on 13th of April, right to the start of their European Tour with Zeni Geva. “Jakuzi’s Attempt is an open concept of art, music and communication, as they say so themselves. If one translates this to music only, you end up with intelligent, well thought off, dynamic songs. The contrast between the intimate, almost acoustic passages and the short bursts of guitar- and drumviolence make this band sound like you’ve been passed by thunderstorm. First you witness an enormous amount of violence, than you enter the relative calmness of the eye of the storm, only to be thrown back again by the last piece of the storm. This Austrian band is doing a few dates with The Locust, that might say a little too…” (ZXZW Independent Culture, Sep 2007) User-contributed
