In early 2004, a quartet of distinctive talents joined to become Jade of Days; one of the most promising bands in the San Jose bay area. Guitarist Paul Borges, vocalist Dana Kelley, bassist Nelson Medeiros and drummer Junior Medeiros combined their individual techniques, creating an undeniable chemistry. Dana’s emotional melodies and vocal range enhance the bands intricate sound, while Paul and Nelson utilize the uncommon technique of rhythmic tapping to create an original and highly regarded style. The experience is complete with Junior’s limitless variations and technical grooves. Jade of Days combines alternative and progressive rock, while maintaining the catchy appeal of modern pop. Their performances captivate audiences throughout the Bay Area, solidifying their role as an unforgettable force in the local music scene. Jade of Days released their first full length album In the Absence of Light in 2005, followed by their much anticipated Gracas a Deus in summer 2006. The band is currently working on new material with the plans of releasing a new EP later this year.
