Jade Amelia Thirlwall (born 26 December 1992), known professionally as JADE, is an English singer and songwriter whose solo work marks a bold reinvention following her global success as a member of Little Mix. After more than a decade as part of one of the best-selling girl groups of all time, JADE emerged as a solo artist with a distinct artistic vision rooted in theatrical pop, emotional honesty and genre experimentation. In the United States the group was known as Marianne Segal and Silver Jade. Jade consisted of Segal (songwriter, vocals, guitar, percussion), Waite (guitar, banjo, bass and vocals) and Rod Edwards (keyboards, bass and vocals). Their album Fly On Strangewings was recorded in March 1970 at Trident Studios in London. Jade disbanded in the autumn of 1971. They reformed for a single performance in November 2004 to mark the CD reissue of their album. 3. Jade was an R&B group active during the early to mid-1990s. The group is best known for the 1993 hit, 'Don't Walk Away'. Other hit singles include 'I Wanna Love You', 'One Woman', and 'Every Day Of The Week'.
