Jack Hippo is Mark Gruijters, an idiosyncratic do-it-yourself musician, singer and songwriter based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He started releasing singles in April 2020. His first full-length, I Guess I Need My Other Friends, came out in December 2023, taking another confident plunge into novel, exotic expressions of creativity: "Personal broadcasts of wry, whimsical melancholy are thronged in strange beautiful cacophony of synths and guitars."
