Ivan Winke (born December 1982) is an independent Artist / DJ / Ghost Producer / Producer / Remixer. His notable solo projects are Shamanavi and Ivan Winke. His side projects are Shamanavi & Pale Horse, Shamanavi & Protest and Shamanavi & Roaring Lion. Ivan grew up in the southwest side of Chicago. He embraced many forms of art & was exposed to all kinds of music as a child. At 15, he established himself as a DJ by spinning at local underground parties, lounges & night clubs throughout the Chicago-land area. At 19, he began to invest in more equipment such as computers, drum machines, sequencers & synthesizers. Since then he has strived for diversity & has created a wide variety of music that reflects this world inside/out, physically & spiritually. His knowledge of music production & technique is self-taught. Xochipillinavi Studios (founded in September 2001) is where he summons the sounds of his various projects. Ivan Winke / Shamanavi has remixed many artists such as Astrix, Bob Marley, BT, Blu Mar Ten, The Cure, Cypress Hill x Rusko, Depeche Mode, The Doors, Front 242, Front Line Assembly, Funkagenda, Juno Reactor, Massive Attack, Ministry, New Order, The Prodigy, Rammstein, Sasha & Skinny Puppy.
