Ionnokx (pronounced like "eye-on-ox") is the instrumental electronic music project of Gabriel Shaw (mindFIELD). The music incorporates fluid soundscapes, strong hooks, and danceable beats greatly influenced by the Electronica, Ambient, Trance, Industrial and EBM scenes. Shaw has toured extensively as a guitarist or keyboardist for the bands VNV Nation, Chemlab, Imperative Reaction, Modulate, Armageddon Dildos and more. The name comes from a reoccurring nightmare Shaw had as a child. In the dream, a creature called the "Ionnokx" would chase him as he would run from it, always waking just as it caught him.
