Inspiration Isn't Cheap was a five piece progressive post-hardcore band from Troy and Rochester Hills, Michigan, United States. With an array of many different influences, the band has finally started to develop their own sound. Inspired by bands such as Saosin, underOATH, A Skylit Drive, Broadway and Of Machines, Inspiration Isn't Cheap combines an aggressive hardcore style of music with a more subtle and alternative take on the genre. Even in their young age, the band has already shared the stage with some of their biggest influences, such as We Came As Romans [Equal Vision], Miss May I [Rise Records], Attack Attack! [Rise Records], and I See Stars [Sumerian Records], just to name a few. Not only is this band strong instrumentally, but lyrically as well. Their words try to draw definition to their songs, every line has a meaning and is apart of the song's structure. Through symbolism and diction they are expressing their creative minds. Playing more and more shows, Inspiration Isn't Cheap is trying to get their name out there to anyone they can. They will take any support they can get and hope that people will take something from them and their music. They hope to make it as far as they can with their music. Building and strengthening relationships along the way. In November, 2009 Inspiration Isn't Cheap went into 37 Studios to record their debut EP. The EP, titled Clockwork consists of 5 brand new songs and was produced by Craig Owens [ex-[artist]Chiodos] and Matt
