Melancholic melodies, reverb-soaked guitars, strong synth lines, a relentless drum machine and lyrics confronting the fleeting nature of relationships and the fragility of the soul. Iggy Mayerov is an alternative pop four-piece band from Prague that first made their mark on the Czech scene in 2019 with the single "Ride". It took them to the final of the Radio Wave Starter competition and opened the door to other Czech radio stations. Since then, you can regularly hear their music on Radio 1 and Expres FM. In autumn 2022, they released their debut album Millennial Cliché in collaboration with producer Daniel Šubrt. The eponymous single was ranked by Radio Expres FM as one of the best pop songs of 2022. This was followed by a collaboration with Lazer Viking, winner of the Anděl award, with whom the band recorded the joint single "Givin' You Up" from the upcoming EP. The music video, directed by Petr Vlček and inspired by the films of Wes Anderson and Karel Zeman, has received over 100,000 views on YouTube.
