about

DIV I DED was established in the end of 2013 and in the fall of 2014 they released their debut album "Born To Sleep" that made them a sunlight of forgotten or undiscovered Czech shoegaze and dream pop. "Born To Sleep" received positive reaction of criticism and listeners all over the world and brought to the band a nomination for the Vinyla Music Awards in category “Discovery of the year”. Multiinstrumentalist Filip Helštýn, female singer Viktorie Marksová and multiinstrumentalist Vojtěch Cigler, which are accompanied by Ondrej Thaisz on drums, samples and projections, have the roots in Frýdek-Místek in Czech Republic. The original concept of DIV I DED shoegaze imbibes elements of melancholic pop or lo-fi folk — they definitely don't copy former heroes of indie scene (Ecstasy of Saint Theresa, Slowdive, Jesus & Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine).
