Ice Cap Fortune is a melodic pop/rock outfit from Madison, WI. The band was formed in the winter of 2003 by Joel Van Haren (rhythm guitar) and Chad Comello (drums). Shortly after Taylor Martin (lead guitar/vocals) and Derek De Vinney (bass) were added. Ice Cap Fortune has spent their time since then trying to improve as musicians, and spread their art to anyone that will listen. The band recently released their new EP entitled “Taking a New Shape.” The EP was produced by Daniel Castady. Ice Cap Fortune independently booked a short tour in support of their new release covering the states of Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania. The newer material will display Ice Cap Fortune’s growth in both the quality of music writing and playing, and the lyrical depth which was displayed on their last album. Ice Cap Fortune has made it a goal of theirs to continually improve their music in every way in an effort to provide their peers and listeners with something of substance, something worth listening to.
