Iasmina Stanescu Cornelia is a romanian artist: pianist, composer, opera singer ( soprano - Lyric - Spinto ). She was born in Hunedoara, Transilvania on 20 September 1960. At 3 years, she was searching on the piano the sounds, trying to form harmonies and small melodies. At 12 years she was singing Beethoven's 5th Symphony piano duo with her first piano-teacher Lucia - Carmen Gheorghiu, on the Syndicate's Stage in Pitesti, and other international pieces, among them her favorite Beethoven's "Sonata Patetica". She has taken classical canto lessons with Romanian's regretted Magda Ianculescu and the pianist Luiza Steriade and theory and harmony with the first female-conductor in Romania, Florica Dimitriu. She finished high-school in Cluj-Napoca and later becomes licensed in Music theory / Musical forms at the Conservatory of Music Bucharest. She also made piano lessons with pianist Bogdan Georgescu and Organist Laurentiu Marinescu. A lot of concerts performed in her country ( piano and voice ) and radio and TV recordings in The National Radio have been lost after the Romanian Revolution, being among the talents lost in the after-revolution regime. She settles in Germany for a couple of years, but after a couple of concerts returns in Romania to finish her canto studies with canto teacher Dumitru Trandafir and Iulian Baiasu. She receives 1st Prize ( Interpretation ) at the Contest and Festival "Darclee" in Pitesti for her piano performance, and later 1st Prize at the sa
