I Remember 2006 (often acronym-ed as IR06 by the band) is an experimental rock duo consisting of Rafe (RonZak) LaNore and Kayne-O LeBlanc (f.k.a. Wilbur Bullara). Initially started as a solo folk rock project by Rafe LaNore back in 2015, Rafe and Kayne met in 2021. Their first recording together was with one-time collaborator, Chase Bundt, whom also partially recorded the first Rexton-Garnet Reels album with them. Since the start of collaborating, LaNore and LeBlanc have brought I Remember 2006 to new sonic heights, expanding their sounds to Post-Rock, Post-Metal, Post-Hardcore, Progressive Rock, Progressive Metal, Math Rock, Slowcore, Shoegaze, Drone, Drone Metal, and more genres. I Remember 2006 has a vast range of influences, including bands such as Swans, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Fugazi, Modest Mouse, Arcade Fire, Black Country, New Road, Natural Snow Buildings, The Hold Steady, Tool (early), Pink Floyd (early), and more, whilst carving out a sound that is undeniably their own. They have a love for storytelling, improvisation, odd time signatures, movements, and really long songs.
