"A Case of Primordials is a [Muskegon-based] four-piece band all about improvisation, long pieces, chaos, and the primordial state of the universe colliding with modern day. It consists of Brandon "Lil' Coop" Cooper, Chris Reynolds, Rafe (RonZak) LaNore, and Wilbur Bullara." A Case of Primordials can be described as a chaotic band with a heavy emphasis on improvisation. They fall into the genres of Progressive Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Post-Rock, Math Rock, No Wave, Metal, and even tinges of Blues Rock. Inspirations include SWANS, Black Country, New Road, Black Midi, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Pink Floyd, Kansas (the band), American Football (band), King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, and Modest Mouse." Wilbur Bullara and Brandon Cooper have a band together called SpiderVolt. Currently, A Case of Primordials has three albums: A Case of Primordials at the Edge of the Universe, As the Sky Opens, and Is This Really Where You're Supposed To Be? Like Rafe's many projects outside of ACoP, there is lore within the music. Many ACoP songs depicts people seeing god-like figures, or "primordials".
