I Am the Alchemist (or IATA) is a five piece young metalcore/post-hardcore band from Topolcany, Slovakia formed in october of 2008. Three root members said "we would form some band". Since then our story has started. Actually is band consisting of David Kvasňovsky (vocals), Pavol Janík (guitar), Patrik Schwarz (guitar), Tomáš Kopecký (bass), Martin Laluch (drums). IATA's lyrics talk about human personalities, relationships, and turning the grey days to bright. Because each of us can change his mindset to better even if anything goes on. Band was originally named Let It Happen as alternative rock with some components of post hardcore, after some changes in music orientation and members they changed their name to I Am the Alchemist.
