How To Win A War was a post-hardcore band with electronic influences from University Park, Pennsylvania, United States They put out an EP in 2009 called Words We Can't Defend. Bio from their Reverbnation page: We are How To Win A War. A 6-piece band from state college PA that mixes modern hardcore with contemporary and trance to bring you, the fans, an utterly unique sound. The band formed in November, 2009 from two different bands. Nathan had his own thing going on when he asked Jordan W. if he wanted to play synth for him. Jordan had a band already going on with the drummer Matt so they had decided to mix the two together and that's when they added Tyler and Jordan B. The band has had 2 bassists before coming across the current bassist/vocalist Gage at a Saosin show. We as a band are all very outgoing positive individuals, and we try to communicate a positive message of hope, love, and Aspirations through music.
