Hemanta Rana also known as the "Nepali Kailash Kher" is a singer and music composer from Nepal, currently residing in the U.S. state of Alabama. Hemanta started his singing career in 2005 with his studio album named Paap Punya. His latest release "Saili" peaked on number 1 position on Hits FM 91.2 and Ekantipur. “Saili" is a Nepali pop song, composed by Kali Prasad Baskota with lyrics by Himal Saud and Kali Prasad Baskota, which explores the emotional toll of a couple's long distance relationship. Hemanta recently performed "Saili" live at Asian Amphitheatre, Qatar in the grand finale of Nepal Idol. Hemanta was a former national wushu player.
