Hashshashin, pronounced,'Hash-Sheesh-N', is a San Francisco based five piece. The band has been in its' current state for less than one year and is a favorite in the local small venue rock community. Doom with fringes of hardcore with an emphasis on laying down think, sludgy grooves. Their first 6 SONG EP is self titled and to be released in April'2010 and is mixed by Humpback,REC's John Anaya. Recorded live at Different Fur Studios in March of '10, the album is a powerhouse of a 'Demo/EP', a great representation of their live act and is reminiscent of High on Fires' 'Death is this Communion' with elements of Primus' Brown album. Heavy, gritty, dark, doom metal that gets up and runs around like an excited monster at times. A great time live even while they tear your face off.
