Hans-Henrik Nordstrøm (born 1947), Danish artist, trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Music . Nordstrøm composed music since he was 13 years, but only in 1988 he stepped forward as a composer at a workshop with the Esbjerg Ensemble. In 1990 he made his professional debut on a DUT concert in Copenhagen with the piece mountains of Monestiés. Since then he has distinguished himself as a composer and has received numerous commissions and performances by leading orchestras, ensembles and soloists at home and abroad. He has been working scholarships and travel grants from the Danish Arts Foundation every year since 1990 and has been assigned Hans Peter Nielsen Scholarship in 1991, Danish Composers' Society Prize in 2001, Wilhelm Hansen Foundation Grant in 2003 & 2004. Composer of the Year Name 2003 Bornholm Music Festival. Composer's Portrait of New Music in Birkeroed 2004. Portrait Concert at Play Danish Day 2010 in Copenhagen. Received Hakon Borresen and wife Honorary Grant 2007. Awarded by The Danish Arts Foundation 2011. Since 1991 he has worked exclusively as a composer. Since 1993 member of the artistic direction of Suså Festival. Nordstrom's works are recorded on a large number of CDs and has performed at numerous festivals, concerts and radio broadcasts at home and abroad.
