Hand of Doom is a tribute band to Black Sabbath featuring Melissa Auf der Maur of Hole and Smashing Pumpkins as its front figure. There was also a German band named Hand of Doom with a sound described as similar to early NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal). They released an album named Poisonoise, limited to 500 copies, in 1979. There is also a progressive death metal band from Italy named Hand Of Doom.
