Guns & Butter is from the Northshore of Boston, MA, USA. They are very progressive using rock roots with strong jazz and classical qualities. The band members consist of Jeff Lyons - vocals; Lenny Federer - Violin, Viola, Composer; Paul Cohen - Guitar, Backup Vocals, Composer; Richard Ploss - Flutes, Saxophones, Clarinet, Backup Vocals, Composer, Arranger; Peter Cohen - Bass and Peter Tucker - Drums. The band released only one album, self titled in 1972. A second album was planned and contracted, but did not happen and they disbanded shortly after.
