Guerilla Zingari is an original, six piece band that crosses many genres such as Gypsy, Folk, Reggae, Ska, Blues and Jazz. It all began with singer/song writers and multi-instrumentalists: Sarah Letters and Nicole McIntyre after they met each other at the UTAS conservatorium of music in Hobart. Both were enrolled in the newly established ‘Singer/Songwriter’ degree course and they soon became close friends. Jamming together, they found common passions for vibrant music with rich vocal harmonies and acoustic instruments. These two talented individuals were soon joined in their musical endeavors by: Dave Elliston – Accordion, multi instrumentalist Pascal Chartrain – Harmonica Isaac Gee – Double Bass Ms. Emily Wolfe – Violin. thus… Guerilla Zingari was born. Having two devoted songwriters as the core of the band, Guerilla Zingari has been able to come a long way in just a short amount of time. With the release of their debut album ‘Odes for the Reckless’ and new songs always being brought to the table, to augment their unique sound. Guerilla Zingari is an ever evolving band with a great amount of passion for the music that they play.
