Groutboy was a kid from Appleton, Wisconsin who was obsessed with grout - a gooey substance used to keep tiles in place. Groutboy got into music and got a guitar. He started recording the stuff he was fooling around with on a karaoke machine and before he knew it, he had a tape full of lousy songs, experiments, and crap. This started the Groutboy legacy and each tape he put out was twice as good as the last. The last tape was the best - although some claim it is as horrible as the rest. On account of his idiocy, Groutboy died while trying to have sex with his own guitar. Groutboy will never be liked, but will always be missed. Probably. There are some who claim Groutboy still lives and is actually Anthony Knuppel, the musician from such failed music projects as Shelter Belt and City Fathers, but the rumor has never been substantiated.
