Glass Torpedoes were a Liverpool (Kirkby), UK band originally signed to Rough Trade in 1979. The band released four 7" singles between 1979 and 1981 before calling it quits. The band recorded one Peel Session for legendary broadcaster John Peel in July 1980. Played gigs with such post-punk bands as ]Joy Division and Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Line ups were : Original , Mark Coleridge (Drums) Alan Cunningham (Guitar) Paul Cunningham (Bass) Barabara Donovan (lead vocals) Mick Reid (Guitar) this line up recorded the Someone Different EP on Rough Trade , released as Teen Beat Records (TBR1) Tall stories Line up - Kate Gill (vocals) Mark Coleridge (drums) Paul Reason ( Guitar) Gary Johnson (bass) the bass player changed a number of times and included Bernie Connor and Dave Caddwallader. The band also recorded a single with John Milton , Unreal the Real in 1980 on the Leo label. Mark Coleridge, Paul Reason and Bernie Connor joined Ex-Post Facto .
