Artist
Giulio Taglietti (Brescia, perhaps 1660 - Brescia, 1718) was an Italian composer and violinist. Little is known about his youth. From 1702 he became a violin teacher at the Jesuit college of Brescia. Between 1695 and 1715 he published thirteen collections of his compositions, including sonatas , triosonatas , concertos and arias . He introduced, in the field of instrumental music, the form of the "da capo", taking it from the vocal field. In all likelihood he was the brother of the composer and sea trumpet player Luigi Taglietti ( 1668 - 1715 ), of whom some works remain.
