Gabriel Manalt i Domènech - incorrectly cited as Menalt - (Martorell, 16 September 1657 - Martorell, 9 June 1687) was a priest, organist, chapel master and composer. He was organist of the church of Sants Just i Pastor in Barcelona before becoming organist (1679-1687) and chapel master (from August 2 to September 26, 1685) of Santa Maria del Mar (Barcelona). His contemporaries considered him a virtuoso in the interpretation of the organ, and went so far as to describe him as "unique in Catalonia". He composed several pieces, mostly for organ, such as tientos , verses and motets , all of which were reputed to be of great interest and quality.
