When the new millennium arrived, a Nu Metal wave had been ushered in. It was an age suffocating in a cloud of plagiarism and blatant imitation. Forget about it. Forget the scene, forget the trend, and forget everything the bandwagon has shown you. Exit the mass of uninspired and regurgitated Nu-Metal nonsense that flooded your eardrums. Enter FUELED BY IGNORANCE, and welcome in the new razor's edge. Long before the thoughtless messages of Nu-Metal began tearing up the charts, there was a politically aware and emotionally charged band from Prince George, BC, Canada. That band is known as FUELED BY IGNORANCE, and since January of 1995 they had been honing their skills, and moulding themselves into a brutal assault weapon poised to strike. They were a band driven by an unyielding passion for growth and an insatiable desire to succeed. FUELED BY IGNORANCE clawed their way up the ranks of the underground to sit among it's elite. Today they are no longer, having disbanding in early 2001 due to personal differences. Yet they are still considered by their legions of fans to be one of the most underrated and overlooked unsigned bands in Metal’s history. LOUDSIDE.COM, one of the largest and most respected names for heavy music on the web, honoured FUELED BY IGNORANCE with two nominations in their first annual awards ceremony. This included Unsigned Band of the year, and Underground Album of the Year recognizing the bands first offering "Tears". Other bands nominated in these categories
