Frank Kurt Zander (born 4 February 1942 in Berlin) is a German Schlager and pop singer, presenter, actor, and voice actor. He achieved his breakthrough in 1974 with the single "Der Ur-Ur-Enkel von Frankenstein". In the same year he released "Ich trink’ auf dein Wohl, Marie", followed by "Oh, Susi (Der zensierte Song)" in 1976. Zander reached his commercial peak in 1981 when, under the pseudonym Fred Sonnenschein, he achieved a number-one hit with "Ja, wenn wir alle Englein wären". One of his best-known songs, "Hier kommt Kurt", was released in 1990. In addition to his artistic career, he is known for social engagement, particularly the annual Christmas celebration for homeless and disadvantaged people held in Berlin since 1995.
