Force West was a harmony pop band from Bristol, United Kingdom. They issued several singles, most in the mid to late 1960s, on Decca, Columbia and CBS. They only enjoyed some regional success with them. Band members were: Charlie Dobson, Sid Phillips, Adrian Castillo, John Strange and Brian Tusler. They also recorded a cover version of P.F. Sloan's 'On a Quiet Night' under the moniker, The Oscar Bicycle. When band leader Charlie Dobson decided to move into management and left the group, the remaining band members changed the group's name into Shakane, under which name they were active from the early 1970s to 2014.
