Artist
Hailing from Ilford, East London, United Kingdom, mid-1960s pop/beat band The Cymbaline cut a lone 45 for Pye before moving to Mercury for three single releases, kicking of with the infectious 'Top Girl' (June 1966). Like many of their harmony-rich contemporaries they were clearly indebted to The Beach Boys. In 1967 the group signed a new deal with Philips, cutting another three 45s, including 'Matrimonial Fears' (1967) and 'Down By The Seaside' (1968).
