Les (Scotland/Belgium), Tarek (Norway/Morrocco… yes, seriously), Green Dave (UK) and original bassist Giorgio (Italy) met as schoolkids at the International School of Brussels, Belgium in about 1991... In 1997 having all been in serious and less serious bands of all shapes and sizes, they started a band playing covers in bars around town... Mid 1998 they all found themselves in and around London writing songs in the company of deathmetal-bedroom guitarist turned superfast skinsman, Red Dave. Writing naturally became recording, became gigging, became more gigging… 2003, saw Giorgio’s amicable departure, and consequently ultimate rockbeast Miles Carrington appointed as their new bass player. With a self released EP, split 7 inch with the Chinkees (Asian man Records) and a debut Full Length album on Good Clean Fun records under their belts, the band has become well known for its explosive live shows, which it taken to most of the UK in the last year or 2, as well as tour of California. With influences ranging from US punk rock and hardcore, hip-hop, reggae and folk to 80s rock and thrash metal, Fireapple Red blend socio-political lyrics with a positive, hard drinking outlook, playing original energetic music. Although they don't claim to be amazingly well read anarchist revolutionaries, they do stand firmly for a better world - a future free of malice and ignorance, and an end to the system that fosters an elite ruling class - who stop at nothing to keep the poor in their
