There are two artists with this name: 1. Fiorentina is an Alternative-Rock band from Norwich, England. 2. Fiorentina, songs relating to the Italian football team. 1) FIORENTINA: The Band Starting off as an acoustic duo, Norwich-based quartet "Fiorentina" are Influenced by the likes of Brand New, Death Cab For Cutie and The Dangerous Summer and are known for creating good, honest - yet catchy - pop songs. In the Summer of 2009, Norwich-based Fiorentina recorded their acoustic debut 3-track EP, titled “Traditions” at Purple Studios, which is available to order at: www.inanemergencydial.bigcartel.com Upon reviewing the debut EP, Altsounds quoted "..it’s dreamy and assured, but at the same time it’s downbeat and contemplative. They offer a lot of substance that’s missing nowadays in the thousands of songs". Wanting to develop their sound from acoustic to full band, original acoustic members Frase Gamblin and Sunny Winter brought in the services of bass player Lewis Marshall and drummer Simon James. They made their live home debut as a 4-piece at the Norwich Arts Centre on February 19th 2010. The gig was to highlight the best upcoming bands associated with Norwich and ended up being a sell out (300 capacity) along with the band receiving numerous "rave reviews" and spotlights including "Single of the month" and "Band of the Month" in Outline Magazine.
