Ferdinand di Lasso (born 1592; died 1636 in Reischach) was a German composer of the early Baroque. Ferdinand di Lasso was born in 1560 as the son of his father of the same name Ferdinand di Lasso. He was one of the singing boys of the ducal chapel during his father's lifetime. In 1608 he graduated from the Jesuit High School in Munich (today Wilhelmsgymnasium Munich). In 1609 he went to Rome at the expense of Duke Maximilian I to train with the composer Giovanni Battista Crivelli. In 1613 he attended the University After his return in 1616, he took up a Kapellmeister position at the ducal court. In 1629, he was dismissed for reasons that have not yet become known and was appointed district judge and caser in Reischach, where he died in 1636.
