Conceptualized as the work of a "young woman... inspired by the cultural joys and hardships of growing up 'between two worlds' with a Japanese father and a Turkish mother" Fatima Yamaha is, in reality, a side project of Dutch producer Bas Bron. Perhaps most noted as a member of De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig but also as the front man for electro rock group Bastian, Bas Bron also releases music under multiple aliases and is co-owner of Magnetron record label.
