Erika Suzanne has been singing since she could talk. As a youngster she was enamored by the music of Charles Strouse, Claude-Michel Schönberg, Rodgers and Hammerstein and Arlen-Harburg. However, this passion was not embraced nor was it supported by her very non-musical family. Nonetheless, this was not an obstacle for her. She continued to persevere, teaching herself the guitar, mimicking melodies she heard on the radio and attending UD Davis where she got a degree in Music Composition and a focus in voice. Erika has been a member of the UCD chamber singers where she appeared in a UCD production of Henry Percell's opera Dido and Æneas. In addition, she has sung with the Sacramento Philharmonic chorus, performing in Gustav Holtz 'The Planets', and a semi staged version of Rogers and Hammerstein's 'Carousel' In addition, Erika has been in several academic productions including Georges Bizet's 'Carmen', Igor Stravinsky's Les Nos, and Carl Orff's 'Carmina Burana'. Currently Erika is living and working in the San Francisco Bay area. She is produced these tracks herself, but has recently chosen to focus her creative energies as a public educator.
