Formed in the Fall Of 2009, EOY is a Progressive Metal group based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. The Band's sound is a unique amalgam of poly meters, breakdowns, driving hooks & melodic brutality. Epic verses interleaved with technical solos & trance-inducing progressive melodies make this group one to watch for. Nate - Guitar - A Former member of the original "Cavityburn," he has been in other various groups as well: Dark sky falling, Falter, King Tree, etc... Nate's style is southern metal with a modern twist, which includes impeccable soloing skills, poly-rhythmic drives, a seasoned ear and mind for creative, catchy songwriting. Brando - Vocals - Brando comes to us from "The Akashic". Deep gutturals and growls, to high-end screams, the presence cannot be denied. With lyrics that reflect a social awareness and benevolent anger, Brando's style is heavy and intellectual. Josh - Bass - Comes to the band from a punk & metal background; having played in such bands as: "Landon's Tumor" & "down-rigger". Fast rhythms, slaps, pops & passion weave in and out of the music to bring texture and depth to the sound. Austin - New to the group but picking it up fast. Pantera influenced and good with sweeps, he brings more of the sonic low-brow know-how to the group. Originally from Missouri, We're glad to have him in slc.
