Ellen Lerner is a true singer/songwriter. She tells great stories! Listeners are still amazed how Lerner can get her novel like lyrics across with such a simple delivery. Growing up listening to Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, James Taylor and Carole King, Lerner branched out a bit later on while discovering The Grateful Dead and The Beatles. She will often make small references in her songs about the artists who have inspired her, and loves it after a show when someone comes up to her and actually "got" it. Ellen has played with some pretty great musicians... Andy King, Ronny Crawford, Mike Brenner, Garry Lee, Allen James, Jim Boggia, and Gordon Townsand to name just a few.
