Electric Six Organs is exactly what it says on the tin - Ben Chasny's Six Organs Of Admittance, but minus the acoustic guitars. This was apparently an experiment that Ben tried out with the guys from Comets On Fire just before they recorded 'Field Recordings From The Sun', and was meant to be a "free noise/soul/groove faction" of Six Organs. According to Ethan Miller's notes to the excellent 'Beard, Bread & Bear's Prayers' compilation, they had enough tunes together for an album that was to be released on Holy Mountain, but it never seems to have materialised. He also says, though, that they occasionally still do impromptu Electric Six Organs shows and jams, so I suppose we should look to the future... Ben has recently toured with a similarly 'electric' Six Organs, with John Moloney (Sunburned Hand) on drums and Keith Wood (Hush Arbours) on bass/2nd guitar.
