Originaly from Tegucigalpa (Hondura's Capital city) whom starting from the fact that all hondurans, culturaly, are a very diverse racial mix, and after several experimentation, eventualy they get their own musical estyle that makes them a mix of rock with latinamerican rythms. The original sample of caribbean rock from Sol Caracol makes clearly evidence in their song "Un Dia Volvera", where they significatly constrast their rythms, armony and lyrics, from wich ends an enviable latin warm Sol Caracol is born in 1996 with the name of Altar Q, being its integrants: Jose Ines Guerrero (voice and bass), Jose Alfredo Poujol (keybords), Jose Manuel Serrato (Electric Guitar) and Rafael Castro (Drums). The Band start as a musical propousal rock based, but with the flow of time start to grow the necesity of create a more original propousal and there's why they took the decision of start the fusion experiments of rock and latin rythms like Reggae, Calypso, Son, Bolero and Punta (traditional Garifuna rythm from the north coast of Honduras) among others, making a very particular sound that define the band in their first prroduction: Planeta Sol (Sun Planet) in 2001, from where they adopted their new name: Sol Caracol With the arrive of this new musical propousal, is included the experimented musician (also involved in Pez Luna) Jose Nery Lara in percusion.
