American-born Kenrick Des Etages (1935-2015) had a long career as a singer songwriter, recording under the names of Ebony Keyes and Lee Vanderbilt. Now known as Lee Vanderbilt he is still a prolific songwriter writing songs in his home studio in London, United Kingdom. He appeared as a backing singer with Carl Douglas on his huge hit Kung Fu Fighting. He has worked with many notably artistes including Tina Charles, Biddu and Jimmy James. He had hits with 'If You Knew' and 'Cupid's House' which reached 17th in the charts in April 1967. Under the name Lee Vanderbilt in 1977 he recorded his album 'Get Into What You're In'.
